What is a Relationship?

What determines what is its true meaning? Does a relationship truly need to be physical? Is our human consciousness's relationships that we meet online with friend groups, what is now our generation's own living room? Has the online truly become online? Has online become our true lives? My relationship with my friends right now is the closest I have to any kind of real-life person. Does the spot I sit, a mess of Taco Bell scraps and a Smash Bros Melee video on my tab with a goofy online discord matter to you who reads this? Or, if you are in my family here, does that mean they know I’m safe, comfortable in my position, and would be devastated if something did happen to me? Are we family? Is this some kind of Poly? Does it mean anything to say to you who read this, and I mean you? That I love you.

Does this mean we are in some ways a kind of cult? We have a family, we have our own rules, our own society. Are we the rebels in our own “The Matrix”? Am I a Neo and the world is our own man-made Matrix? Does it mean anything to you that I recently beat a new Pokémon game? Does it mean anything to you that last night I got too high, ate a whole pizza, and passed out on my bed and had a really good sleep? Does everything I have written now actually MEAN something to you as a person? Are you interested in what I have said so far? Do you feel the want as a reader to learn more? Is our own-

These are all just questions we ask ourselves in our vain struggle on this planet we sit upon? And am I just a vessel for something yearning for a meaning to existence? Is this what spirituality and existence is? Is this our meaning to life?
